Pulse neighbors return to work

Authorities reopened the northbound lanes

ORLANDO, Flor. (WESH) – Several Orlando businesses reopened Tuesday morning for the first time since the Pulse nightclub massacre.

Authorities reopened the northbound lanes Orange Avenue near the crime scene overnight.

Tony Awad owns a dental laboratory near the nightclub. He says this is one of the busiest times of the year, and it’ll take months to recover.

Still, Awad says his sympathies are with the victims and their families.

“It’s very hard, financially hard,” he says. “It’s not as hard as losing a person, two, three, four months, but you lose someone you can’t get them back.”
