WILLINGTON, Conn. (WWLP) – A 23 year-old Chicopee resident was arrested on drug charges after being pulled over near a rest stop off I-84 late Monday afternoon.
According to Connecticut State Police, Damien Vine was arraigned Tuesday morning in Rockville Superior Court, on charges including possession of heroin with intent to sell and possession of prescription narcotics not in the original container.
State police say that patrolling troopers pulled Vine over near the Transit America truck stop on Ruby Road in Willington for motor vehicle violations. During their stop, troopers allegedly found heroin packaged for sale, as well as prescription pills and marijuana.
They arrested Vine and took him to the state police barracks, where he was held on $15,000 bond prior to his arraignment Tuesday.
In addition to the drug charges, Vine is charged with improper turn/failure to signal and having an improper exhaust.
