UPS delivery man struck by car in Springfield

Delivery man expected to be okay following incident on Parker Street

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A UPS delivery man has been taken to the hospital after being struck by a car in Springfield Monday afternoon.

Dennis Leger, aide to the Springfield Fire Commissioner, told 22News that the accident took place in front of the Sixteen Acres fire station on Parker Street. He said firefighters heard a commotion outside and rushed to the man’s aid.

Leger said that the deliveryman suffered only minor injuries in the incident.

Additional details about the accident were not immediately available from Springfield police.
