Enhanced DNA testing in 16 year old Molly Bish murder case

The 16-year-old had been a lifeguard at the pond when she disappeared on June 27, 2000

16 year-old Molly Bish disappeared from her lifeguard post at Comins Pond in Warren on June 27, 2000.

(NECN/WWLP) – The Worcester county district attorney says evidence collected in the Molly Bish murder case will be submitted for enhanced DNA testing.

Next Monday, it will be 16 years since Molly’s disappearance from Comins Pond in Warren back in 2000. The 16-year-old had been a lifeguard at the pond when she disappeared on June 27th.  Her remains were found in a wooded area in Palmer nearly three years later.

The upgraded tests will become available in September, and the improvement in testing could make degraded samples usable for determining DNA.
