SALEM, N.H. (AP) — Police say a New Hampshire woman is facing multiple felony charges after she struck a parked car, then told police she had just bought heroin in Massachusetts and was “nodding off” with two children in her car.
Salem police say 29-year-old Sarah Breau of Hopkinton made a dangerous U-turn on Main Street Wednesday night before hitting the car.
Authorities say they found several bags of a powdery substance in the car with the two children, ages 8 and 9.
Breau is charged with possession of heroin, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of criminal mischief.
She was arraigned Thursday and released on $5,000 bail.
It was not immediately known if Breau has a lawyer. No phone listing for her could be located.
