Victim tied up in Ware home invasion

WARE, Mass. (WWLP) – At least one victim was tied up after a home invasion in Ware Wednesday afternoon.

Ware Police issued a news release to 22News in which they said they received a report of the home invasion at 26 Smith Avenue just before 1:00 p.m. Wednesday.

The alert said that a “subject had been tied up.”

Ware Police Officer Tod Bertini, who is working on the investigation, told 22News that they believe there are two suspects responsible for the home invasion, both of whom were armed with handguns.

No one was injured in the incident, Bertini said.

Area police were told to be on the lookout for a black Jeep Liberty in connection with the investigation. No description of suspects is available at this time,

Massachusetts State Police detectives were assisting Ware police in the investigation, which is being led by Ware Police Detective Sgt. Scott Lawrence. In addition to Bertini, Officers Scott Talbot and Paul Skutnik are also participating in the investigation.
