CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – State higher Education officials are considering recommendations to change the process and the response to reports of sexual assault on campus.
The idea is to make it easier for students to report sexual assault, and to create a prompt procedure for investigating those reports. Research indicates that rape and other forms of sexual violence are under-reported on campus.
The report recommends the state’s 29 public colleges and universities offer training that promotes respect for gender and cultural differences.
