Obama addresses Orlando shooting

President Obama spoke about the massacre in Orlando Sunday

(AP) – President Obama spoke about the massacre in Orlando Sunday. He said that his thoughts are with the victims and their families, as well as the entire LGBT community.

They went to night club to be together with friends and live without fear, but were met with an act of terrorism.

Obama went on to say, “Although it’s still early in the investigation, we know enough to say that this was an act of terror and an act of hate. And as Americans, we are united in grief, in outrage, and in resolve to defend our people.”

Obama said that Orlando will receive whatever resources they need in the wake of the shooting. The White house has lowered its flags to half-mast to honor Sunday’s victims.
