Store robbed; employees forced into room in Springfield

The Springfield Police are asking for your help tonight to catch two armed robbers

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Springfield Police are asking for your help tonight to catch two armed robbers.

Just after 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon, two men with masks walked into the T-Mobile cell phone store at 613 Belmont Avenue in Springfield. One of the men had a gun and ordered all the employees into a back room. The gunmen then ordered an employee to open a safe. The robbers stole all the phones in the store, and some money.

Both suspects are described as black men. One was wearing a gray sweatshirt. The second was wearing a black hoodie. They were last seen running south on Belmont Avenue with the stolen phones in a laundry bag.
