CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – You’re about to discover that a tearful love story plucking away at your heartstrings can do you a world of good. But I won’t dishonor “Me Before You” by calling this deeply emotional love story a tear-jerker.

“Me Before You” is the uplifting story of a free spirited young woman giving a disabled man something to live for. Even if his bitterness at first gets the best of him. If you’ve never seen Emilia Clarke light up the screen with her incandescent charm, you’ve got a treat in store.

Sam Claflin can’t understand why a vivacious young woman so bursting with life would devote herself to being his companion. He tells her “she should be out claiming the world as her own”. Emilia Clarke is perfectly satisfied claiming this heart tugging classic romance as her own.

If you’re not swept up by this study in selfless devotion, something tells me, you need a heart transplant. Nor will you be able to resist the heart filling pleasure of Emilia Clarke’s memorable performance. Claflin tells her “You are pretty much the only thing that makes me want to get up in the morning”.

Now tell me that’s not a memorable line destined to go down in movie history along with such classics as “Love means never having to say you’re sorry”. Remember that one from “Love Story”?

Regardless, “Me Before You” is an emotional powerhouse that comes complete with a tissue wrapped 4 stars. If they’re not selling packs of tissues at the concession counter, they should be.
