SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – An unidentified man was undergoing treatment, Wednesday night, for multiple gunshot wounds he suffered in an attack on Osgood Street in Springfield.
Springfield Police Lt Brian Keenan told 22News a group of men surrounded the victim when he got out of his car near a park on Osgood Street, at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
“It’s unclear what prompted the shooting, but he was shot multiple times.” Lt Keenan said. “He was brought to Baystate Medical Center in a private vehicle.”
Lt. Keenan said the victim is expected to survive. There’s no word on a motive for the shooting.
