Springfield Police: Honeyland Farms store shooting over parking conflict

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A possible parking dispute led to a shooting in Springfield early Monday morning.

Springfield Police Lt. Richard LaBelle told 22News it happened in the parking lot of the Honeyland Farms store at State Street and St. James Avenue.

According to Lt. LaBelle, two men struggled over a weapon when the shooting occurred. The wounded man was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay.

The incident took place around 3 a.m.
