(CNN) – Donald Trump firing off a preemptive strike, “She’s one of the worst Secretaries of State in the history of our country. Now she wants to be our president. Look, I’ll be honest, she has no natural talent to be president.”
Unleashing on Hillary Clinton as she took aim on Thursday at Trump’s foreign policy credentials. Trump said, “Folks, folks, these are crooked people, these are crooked people. They’ve been crooked from the beginning, they’ve been crooked from whitewater.”
All as Trump ties himself in knots on yet another policy position, claiming he never suggested Japan should have access to nuclear weapons.
“Hillary Clinton, who lies, I think she lies, remember that, she lies….she lies. She made a speech, she’s making another one tomorrow, and they sent me a copy of the speech and it was such lies about my foreign policy. They said I want japan to get nuclear weapons. Give me a break,” said Trump.
Even though that’s exactly what he suggested earlier this year; “It’s not like, gee whiz, nobody has them. So, North Korea has nukes. Japan has a problem with that. I mean, they have a big problem with that. Maybe they would in fact be better off if they defend themselves from North Korea.”
(With nukes?) Trump replied, “Including with nukes, yes, including with nukes”
As Trump campaigned across heavily Latino California on Thursday, his track record of jarring comments about Hispanics isn’t sitting well with some members of his own party. Ruth Guerra, the Republican National Committee’s Head of Hispanic Media Relations, uncomfortable with Trump as the nominee, is resigning.
Meanwhile, Trump is lamenting another blow to his business interests. The PGA announced it’s moving a key tour date from Trump’s Doral Resort in Miami to Mexico City after failing to find a corporate sponsor willing to back the event at Doral.
Trump said, “They moved the World Golf Championships from Miami to Mexico City. Can you believe it? Can you believe it?”
However, Trump says he may revive another business venture once he’s in the White House, Trump University, which was shuttered in 2011. The candidate is still facing lawsuits alleging Trump U defrauded students.
In a grammatically challenged tweet, Trump said, “After the litigation is disposed of and the case won, I have instructed my execs to open Trump U…”
