2 people hurt after car jumps guard rail in Agawam

State police say the accident was called in around 2:10AM


AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) – Part of a Route 5 off-ramp in Agawam was closed after a car jumped a guard rail and hit a building

It happened along Route 5 North on the ramp going down to the rotary.

State Police Sergeant Mark Weiner of the Springfield barracks told 22News calls for the accident came in around 2:10 a.m. on Friday. He said the two people in the car were hurt after it jumped the rail and hit a building next to the ramp

Sgt. Weiner said the two people were taken to the hospital and are expected to be OK.

The building had some minor damage to its side. The Route 5 off ramp has since fully reopened.
