Unique mansion in Connecticut will be up for auction

The auction will be held on May 31st

SOMERS, Conn. (WWLP) – One lucky bidder could soon be the owner of a unique mansion in Somers, Connecticut.

The home up for auction is a replica of Monticello, Thomas Jefferson’s iconic Virginia estate. It’s currently owned by Friendly Ice Cream’s Co-founder Stewart Prestley Blake.

Blake finished construction on the home in 2014, around the time of his 100th birthday. The mansion has 5 bedrooms and sits on roughly 9 acres of land.

The auction will be held on Tuesday, May 31st. The mansion is currently listed for $4.9-million.
