Donald Trump has officially secured the number of delegates required to clinch the GOP nomination.

(NBC News) Donald Trump has clinched the republican nomination, finally reaching one more than the magic number of 1237 delegates he needs.

Trump celebrated clinching the nomination by taunting his likely next opponent, Hillary Clinton.

“Here I am watching Hillary fight, and she can’t close the deal,” Trump said.

President Obama, speaking from the G7 summit in Japan, said world leaders are watching, and worried by Trump.

“They’re rattled by him, and for good reason,” Mr. Obama said.

Trump responded with typical bluster.

“If they’re rattled in a friendly way, we’re going to have great relationships with these countries, but if they’re rattled in a friendly way that’s a good thing,” Trump said.
