Two people arrested on prostitution and heroin charges in Chicopee

Condition of the house was so deplorable, the Board of Health condemned it

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Chicopee Police detectives, in cooperation with several local police departments and federal agencies, including Homeland Security and the Human Trafficking Task Force, raided a home in Chicopee and made arrests for prostitution and heroin possession.

Chicopee Police officer Michael Wilk told 22News police executed a search warrant at 808 Westover Road Friday night.  They arrested 23year-old Kayla King of 1808 Westover Road charged her with “sexual conduct for a fee,” and “keeping a house of prostitution.”

Detectives also arrested 28-year-old Robert McCann on a charge of heroin possession.

Officer Wilk said, “The condition of the inside of the residence (at 1808 Westover Road) was so deplorable,” said Officer Wilk, “the board of health was called, responded, and deemed the home uninhabitable, and condemned the residence.”

Both King and McCann were booked at Chicopee Police Headquarters.  Kayla King was released on $40.00 bail.  Robert McCann was still being held on $40.00 bail.
