AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) – And the 10th annual charity golf tournament and dinner to benefit autism was held in Agawam Saturday.
Hundreds of people attended the benefit held at the Oak Ridge Country Club. Guest played golf and afterwards enjoyed a banquet and live entertainment.
22News spoke with a teacher about the importance of recognizing students with autism.
Gina Potorski-Dahl, told 22Newws, “A lot of the symptoms and a lot of the issues that go along with autism are fairly easy to recognize, if you know what your looking for. And their fairly easy to overcome in a classroom, if you know what your doing.”
148 golfer’s attended the golf tournament. And more than 200 people attended the dinner. All the proceeds from the event will goes towards fighting autism.
