DEERFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Deerfield Police are reminding drivers and motorcyclist to slow down, and not follow each other to close, after a motorcycle crash early Friday evening at the Greenfield and Deerfield border.

According to the Deerfield Police Facebook page, the motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a crash on the Cheapside Bridge, which is also the Greenfield Road.

Officers investigated the crash site and determined that the motorcycle rear ended a vehicle that was stopped and waiting to turn on River Road, police said

Deerfield officers were helped by Greenfield police and fire, as well as MedCare and South County Ambulance.

There’s been a few motorcycle and motor scooter crashes in western Massachusetts lately. One woman from Georgia was killed Thursday night in West Springfield while riding a motor scooter.
