SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – There is a sign of increasing confidence in the economy .
According to a Gallup poll, 63-percent of people believe they would find a comparable job if they were laid off. That almost matched the reemployment confidence level before the recession.
The Executive Director of Future Works in Springfield, Kevin Lynn, told 22News an increasing number of people are actually choosing to leave their jobs for new opportunities.
“People now who wouldn’t even consider leaving their jobs, now start to do that so what that means is they start moving up, that starts opening up other positions so it’s good for the economy if you have a certain cycling going on,” said Lynn.
According to the poll, workers are also feeling more stability in the workplace. Just 15% believe they could lose their job within the next 12 months.
