Freeze Warning issued for parts of western Mass.

Make sure to bring any outdoor plants inside

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for western Hamden and Hampshire counties from Midnight to 8:00 a.m. Tuesday.

According to the NWS, a Freeze Warning is issued when sub-freezing temperatures are highly likely, which means the conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation. So make sure to bring any outdoor plants inside because they may be killed.

22News Storm Team Meteorologist Brian Lapis said temperatures will drop into the mid 30’s after midnight, and that will be enough for widespread frost. Some spots will get as low as the 20’s.
