West Springfield City council votes to give tax breaks to car dealership

The owner is investing $6M into expanding his dealership

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The City of West Springfield is looking to encourage more companies to do business in the City. That’s why the City Council voted to give a tax break to Father & Sons Car Dealership.

The owner, Dominic Cartelli, is investing $6-million into expanding his dealership on Memorial Drive in West Springfield. That would mean an increase in property taxes.

However, the City Council voted unanimously on Monday to reduce the new tax rate, to encourage the expansion. The council said they hope the tax incentive will drive more businesses to West Springfield.
