Pancake Breakfast will mark Springfield’s 380th anniversary

State Senators Lesser & Welch to serve as Co-Chairs

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Spirit of Springfield is getting ready for one of its biggest events of 2016. This year’s World’s Largest Pancake Breakfast will mark the 380th anniversary of the City of Springfield.

State Senators Eric Lesser and James Welch will serve as the Honorary Co-Chairs for this year’s event.

“I have memories of attending the breakfast when I was a kid, coming with my parents, and then of course it’s become a great tradition for my family to bring our own young daughter; so it really feels like coming full circle,” said Lesser.

Welch said, “It’s always a great day, you come down you see many people, many families, many kids enjoying pancakes and it’s really about the community getting together.”

The World’s Largest Pancake Breakfast is Saturday, May 14th.
