FLORENCE, Mass. (WWLP) – Tuesday was one of several damp spring days, but the weather wasn’t keeping everyone inside.
At Look Park in the Florence section of Northampton Tuesday, the ducks were certainly enjoying the wet conditions, and continued to paddle along through the rushing water.
The rain didn’t seem to be bothering the kids either. With umbrellas in hand, they were ready to take on every puddle- of which there were plenty.
Dreary weather also wasn’t preventing people from going about their daily walks. As long as you are keeping your feet dry, and with a little help from the umbrella, most people aren’t letting the rain get in their way.
Nancy Laberge of Westhampton told 22News that the rain really is needed.
“The winter wasn’t very, very good this year, or I should say last year, so the rain helps farmers too,” Leberge said.
Gardeners say that the plants and vegetation are soaking the water right up, and more rain is welcome.
