SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Valley Press Club’s 39th Annual Roast focused on Hampden County Sheriff Michael Ashe, Friday night, who is retiring at the end of the year after more than 4 decades in public service.
Sheriff Ashe was the target of good-natured jokes. He told 22News what he’ll miss most about the job; “It’s really been the staff, and that’s something, I have to say, I’ll really miss.”
Sheriff Ashe said he plans to use his retirement to spend more time with his wife.
