Police arrested 3 in North Adams on cocaine charges

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. (WWLP) – An extensive investigation into drug activity at an apartment on West Shaft Road lead to 3 arrests Thursday night in North Adams.

According to the North Adams Police Facebook page, at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, the Berkshire County Drug Task Force and the Berkshire County Special Response Team conducted a drug raid at 522 West Shaft Road, which are the Tunnel Brook Apartments.

At the same time, the Task Force stopped a car, the alleged drug suspects were driving, in the Walmart parking lot in North Adams. Police said the suspects were accused of selling drugs out of the West Shaft Road apartment.

The investigators found cocaine and cocaine distribution packaging in the apartment, and cocaine, buprenorphine (suboxone strips), methylenedioxymethamphetamine (molly or ecstasy), and clonazepam.

Police said the 3 people arrested were Heather Conn, Tyler Sumner, and Garrett Vil. Conn was charged with Possession of a Class B Substance (Cocaine), Sumner was charged with Possession with the Intent to Distribute Class B (Cocaine), and Vil was charged with Possession with the Intent to Distribute Class B (Suboxone), Possession with the Intent to Distribute Class B (Molly/Ecstacy), and Possession with the Intent to Distribute Class C (Clonazepam).
