Deputy fired after punching inmate

(WTLV) An officer with Florida’s Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office was fired and arrested Thursday after a Wednesday incident when he reportedly punched a female inmate multiple times while arresting her and at the Duval County jail.

Akinyemi Borisade, 26, had worked for Jacksonville Sheriff”s Office since March of 2015 and was still on a probationary status with the police organization.

Borisade was caught on the jail’s camera pushing the woman, 31-year-old Mayra Alejandra Martinez, up against a wall and then punching her several times after she kicked him.
