National Weather Service releases outlook for the next 3 months

Much above normal temperatures expected for the Northeast

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – Over the last couple of days we’ve seen the sunny and dry spring weather return. People were out enjoying the nice weather at Look Park in Northampton. The mornings have been on the chilly side though with low temperature getting down into the 20s.

Our average high temperature for this time of year should be in the lower 60s and our average low temperature is right around 40.

Temperatures have been a bit cooler than normal lately but the National Weather Service just released its outlook for the next three months and if you like the warmer weather it looks like you’re in luck. It’s calling for much above average temperatures for the northeast for May, June and July.

“That will work for me. I’m a warm weather person. I don’t like the cold so it’ll be good, I hope it’s true,” said Deb Vandale of Shelburne Falls.

“I think warm weather would be great I prefer that it doesn’t get too hot but nice and warm cool in the morning cool at night sounds great,” said Nicole Bourdon of Florence.

As for precipitation, the outlook for the next three months is calling for equal chances for seeing above or below normal rainfall.
