SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Springfield Police Ordinance Unit investigated an illegal dumping near the side entrance of Loon Pond, off Boston Road, after the suspect was caught on surveillance cameras.

According to Springfield Police Sgt. John Delaney, the owner of stuff put in the dumpster, and the truck shown in the photo, is Ada Medina of Ames Street in Springfield. She was issued a $300 violation.

Medina was also fined another $50 because her truck did not have a proper inspection sticker, Sgt. Delaney said.

Anyone who has items they need to get rid of, they can buy an $8.00 sticker at Big Y and call 311 to schedule a pick-up by the City.

Sgt. Delaney added that over 3,000 Ordinance Violations have been issued this year to people who aren’t keeping up their property, blight, unregistered cars on their property, trash and other violations.
