U.S. marshals prepare to auction off collection of high-end sports cars seized from an accountant who stole millions from his clients.

(KSHB) The U.S. Marshals are holding a live and Web simulcast vehicle auction in Kansas City, Missouri, on Thursday that will put dozens of high-end sports cars up for bids.

The auction includes 25 vehicles worth more than $1.5 million. The vehicles include a Ford Mustang Cobra Jet, Ferrari 430 Scuderia, Ford GT and 12 Ducati motorcycles.

All of the cars once belonged to Overland Park accountant Thomas Hauk, who pleaded guilty to stealing $4 million from his clients.

“When you steal a bunch of money that you wouldn’t have otherwise, you’ve got to have something to do with it,” said Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal Micheal Stokes.
