Aftershocks continue in Japan

quake update
Debris is still being cleared following Japan's deadly Kumamoto earthquakes.

(NTV) Thursday marks two weeks since the first of two massive earthquakes rocked southwest Japan, killing 49 people.

Kumamoto Prefecture has already had more than 1,000 aftershocks and 36,000 people remain in emergency shelters.

Homes remain collapsed and roads impassible in hardest-hit Mashiki.

Authorities say 16 people died from the stress of evacuation and other indirect causes related to the quake.
