130 donors give the “Gift of Life” at Six Flags

Donors received a one-day pass to Six Flags

AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) – The Red Cross collected more than 130 units of blood at the Six Flags New England Blood Drive Monday.

Donors are personally and emotionally driven to give the “Gift of Life,” but the Agawam amusement park added an incentive. Everyone who donated got a free one-day pass to Six Flags in Agawam.

The Red Cross said every day, they need to collect about 14-thousand pints of blood to meet patient needs across the U.S.

“The need for blood is constant,” American Red Cross Team Supervisor Anne Samuels told 22News. “And we really want our donors to donate to our patients who really need the blood.”
