Brush fire risks high due to dry weather

The brush is so dry, it could easily catch on fire.

WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Although it’s a beautiful day in western Massachusetts this morning this type of weather can also be dangerous.

We typically see more brush fires in April, once the weather starts warming up like. Dry brush mixed with dry air and sunshine, is the perfect recipe for a brush fire.

Many people start cleaning out their yards in April when the weather warms up, but you’ll want to avoid burning anything outside this weekend.

The dry weather and light winds could make a fire spread quicker than usual. If your cigarette smoker, you’ll also want to pay attention to where you’re flicking your cigarette or putting it out.
