BOSTON, Mass. (WWLP) – The popularity of “Old Ironsides” as a Boston Harbor historical attraction is on the rise.

Visits to the vintage warship, which is the world’s oldest vessel of its kind still afloat, have become more frequent.

Guided tours are now offered every half hour during the summer season.

The USS Constitution defended America’s sea lanes from 1797 until 1855.

It’s now a floating museum of American history that began roaming Boston Harbor for the Summer season on Friday.
