AMHERST, Mass. (WWLP) – It was a bright and sunny day for a festival in Amherst.
The seventh annual Amherst Sustainability Festival filled Amherst Town Common Saturday, in honor of former Town Manager John Musante. He was one who truly believed energy efficiency was the right thing to do.
It was a festival filled with family-friendly events, with over 100 vendors of renewable energy and energy efficiently product suppliers.
Alex Door from Fungi Ally was very passionate about his message Saturday. “To share the knowledge, to share the mushrooms, the information were very passionate about mushrooms we’d loved to share it with everyone I think they’re great.”
Environmental consultant Sally Pick loves coming to these festivals, telling 22News, “It puts a smile on my face, especially on a sunny spring day. I see people doing really creative things and people really interested in saving energy and doing their part to address climate change.”
22News learned that behind every machine is a human that controls what is going on, which is important to remember.
An overall fun and very educational festival indeed.
