SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Hundreds of breast cancer survivors will be at the MassMutual Center Saturday morning for the 19th annual Rays of Hope Breast Cancer Survivors’ Day.
Rays of Hope is a non-profit, breast cancer organization, that raises money to help support people who are battling breast cancer.
Sunday’s benefit is a celebration for hundreds of women who beat breast cancer. A room full of survivors will start their morning by listening to the keynote address.
This year’s keynote speaker is Lucy Giuggio Carvalho, the founder of the Rays of Hope Walk and Run, an event that raises thousands of dollars every year.
During her keynote address, she’ll talk about her journey with breast cancer, and the events leading up to her founding of the Rays of Hope.
The event goes from 8:00AM to 2:00PM, at the MassMutual Center in Springfield.
