Shots fired, shell casings found in Springfield neighborhood

Police found shell casings but no victims

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield Police detectives were trying to find out who fired several gunshots in a Mason Square neighborhood Thursday night.

Springfield Police Lt. Brian Keenan told 22News that neighbors notified police of the gunfire on Wilbraham Road near Suffolk Street about 4:45 p.m. Thursday.

Lt Keenan said police found several shell casings but no victims.

No suspects have been identified, and no arrests so far.
