Storm damage from Sunday’s wind

High winds rolled through western Massachusetts Sunday

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – High winds have been whipping through western Massachusetts Sunday. Winds gusted between 40 and 50 MPH at times. The High Wind Warning that was in effect has been cancelled and replaced by a Wind Advisory until 7 p.m.

  • Amherst in Hampshire County: 12″ diameter tree down on Brigid Street
  • Ashfield in Franklin County: Tree down on wires on Williamsburg Road
  • Charlemont in Franklin County: Tree down, utility pole broken in Mountain Road
  • Cheshire in Berkshire County: Tree down on Main Street
  • Chester in Hampden County: Tree down on Baily Street
  • Chesterfield in Hampshire County: Tree down blocking Damon Pond Road
  • Chicopee in Hampden County: Tree down on top of car and wires down on Madison St.
  • Colrain in Franklin County: Wires down on Neilson Road
  • Holyoke in Hampden County: Tree Down Rock Valley Road
  • Monson in Hampden County: Large tree took wires down on Thayer Road
  • Pittsfield in Berkshire County: Tree down Route 7 at Hancock town line
  • Westfield in Hampden County:
    • tree down near 40 Prospect Street

  • Worthington in Hampshire County: trees & wires down on Kinne Brook Road
