A successful attempt would consist of about 5,000 rotations

(NBC News) – A Cleveland, Ohio radio DJ attempts to break the world record for longest Ferris wheel ride.

The record attempt started at 7 a.m. Friday, April 1, and will continue until 2 p.m. Sunday, April 3.

The DJ, who goes by the name Knyce (nice), will be given a five-minute break every hour to use the bathroom and get food, but will not be permitted to sleep during the record attempt.

If he completes all 55 hours, DJ Knyce will have rotated on the 125-foot tall Ferris wheel an estimated 5,000 times.
