MANCHESTER, Conn. (AP) — Police are asking Manchester residents to be cautious after two dogs were attacked by a pair of coyotes.
Police say the incident happened in the area of Garth Road on Friday.
One dog was uninjured. The other was wounded and is being treated at the veterinarian’s office.
No other injuries were reported.
Police say people should be cautious when walking outside and particularly when letting their dogs out.
State Department of Energy and Environmental Protection officials say it’s breeding season for coyotes so they may be more aggressive than usual.
