LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (WAVE) – In Kentucky, high winds caused damage and stranded people in a park for more than four hours on Saturday.
A tree blocked the road leading to a parking lot at Jefferson Memorial Forest.
It also brought down a power line.
Firefighters had to wait for LG&E crews to arrive.
About 50 cars – and the people in them – had to wait four hours for crew to finally cut the tree and repair the wire.
Officials closed the park as soon as everything was cleared away.
