Part of the Hampden District Attorney’s Office’s “Stop the Swerve” effort, included a public service announcement contest open to high schools throughout Hampden County. All entries had to focus on the dangers of impaired driving.
The winning public service announcement, “The Mourning After,” (watch video above) was debuted at the “Stop the Swerve” event held on March 31, 2016 at the Basketball Hall of Fame. “The Mourning After” was produced by Matthew Belden, Dominic Coelho, Andrew Conchinha, Jordan Potter, Bill Reno, and Benjamin Taylor of Ludlow High School.
The winning PSA will also air on WWLP-22News and The CW Springfield through the end of the summer. “Stop the Swerve” was hosted by Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni and supported by the Massachusetts Office for Victim Assistance through a Drunk Driving Trust Fund Prevention, Education and Training Grant.
More of the “Stop the Swerve” entries will be posted over the next few days.
