LUDLOW, Mass. (WWLP) – Ludlow Police arrested a 37-year-old man from Springfield, Tuesday night, for allegedly setting a fire behind a Holiday Inn Express.

According to the Ludlow Police Facebook page, around 8:30 p.m., Ludlow Fire and Police were called to 321 Center Street for a dumpster fire. Police said a hotel guest found the fire and attempted to put it out with a garden hose; also preventing it from spreading to the hotel.

Ludlow Police interviewed witnesses and watched surveillance video to get a description of the arson suspect.
