SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A wind advisory remains in effect for western Massachusetts until 2pm for the Pioneer Valley and until 6pm for Berkshire Count.
Winds have gusted over 40 mph at times, with some scattered power outages reported overnight and Tuesday morning. During the early afternoon, there remained scattered outages in the region,with the most significant one in Sandisfield. Click here to see current power outages across Massachusetts.
Winds will stay strong through mid afternoon, but lessening as we end the day and go into night. Be careful when opening car doors that wind doesn’t swing the door open or push your car into nearby lanes when driving at higher speeds.
Even during your evening commute, watch for branches or debris in the road.
The day will consist of a sun/cloud mix, but skies will turn mostly sunny in the afternoon. High temperatures will head into the upper 40s this afternoon.
Winds will slow down by tonight, with temperatures dropping into the mid to upper 20s by tomorrow morning.
