EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) – Residents asked the East Longmeadow Select Board Tuesday night about ousted Select Board Chair Paul Federici’s formal complaint to the Attorney General’s office. The board had no comment.
22News discovered Tuesday that interim Town Administrator Gregg Neffinger has decided to negotiate a contract to take the post on a permanent basis.
Former East Longmeadow Select Board member Marilyn Richards told 22News she’s disappointed with the entire process. She said, “It’s a lack of respect, and unfortunately, the people at the meeting reply in kind and there may be a mutual lack of respect. And the town really, really needs to work on that before we move forward and make any more major changes within our community.”
When asked by residents, Neffinger said he’s fit to be Town Administrator given his experience in local politics. He says his priority is to fix the rotary.
