Woman stole wallet left on gas station counter

Cash and credit cards were in the wallet

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield Police “Major Crimes Unit” is asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman who grabbed a man’s wallet after he left it at a gas station.

The surveillance video above from last Tuesday was posted on the Springfield Police Department official Facebook page.

Springfield Police Sgt. John Delaney said the man left his wallet on the counter at the Shell Gas Station on Bay Street around 1:00 p.m., on March 8th. In the video you can see the woman quickly grab the wallet.

The wallet contained more than $200 in cash and multiple credit cards.
