Six Flags New England is getting a little more thrilling

The park is adding virtual reality rides

AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) – 22News took a tour of Six Flags New England on Tuesday to see what will be new when the park opens for the season on April 9th.

The iconic steel coaster “BIZARRO” will be relaunched as “SUPERMAN,” the ride. There’s also a new looping coaster called “Fireball and Rockin’ Rodeo,” a family ride. Six Flags New England in Agawam is also one of 9 parks across the country that will be adding virtual reality rides.

Jennifer McGrath of Six Flags New England told 22News, “This technology changes everything. Specifically with virtual reality, our guests have never experienced anything like this before. It’s very limited and not many parks offer it, but nine six flags properties will be introducing it this year, its insane technology.”

Superman passengers will receive a headset to wear during the ride, adding an extra sensory experience to the twists, turns and drops of the roller coaster.
