THOMPSON, Conn. (WTNH) – A Massachusetts man was arrested Tuesday and is accused of sexually assaulting two teens in Thompson in October of 2015.

Joshua Vancelette, 28, of Dudley, Mass., was arrested just after 9:30 a.m. Monday. He is facing two counts of sexual assault related to an incident in October of 2015.

On Oct. 19, 2015, detectives received a referral from the Department of Children and Families (DCF) reporting a sexual assault on a 16-year-old and an 18-year-old.

Connecticut state police detectives collaborated with the DCF and the Windham County State’s Attorney Office to carry out an extensive investigation of the incident. Through the course of that investigation, detectives determined that Vancelette was their suspect.

Vancelette is being held on a $25,000 bond. He will appear in the Danielson Superior Court. Police said a date has not been scheduled.
