It was called in by a resident on the street

MONSON, Mass. (WWLP) – The State Police bomb squad was called to Monson Sunday to remove what appeared to be a grenade.

Monson Police Dispatcher Avrohom Resnick told 22News police were called to East Hill Road near Koran’s Farm for a report of a grenade. It was called in by a resident on the street.

At first, police thought it was a grenade used by people who shoot paint ball guns.

They called the State Police bomb squad, but they determined it wasn’t an explosive at all.
