Greenfield Police arrest bank robbery suspect in bank parking lot

Greenfield Police: suspect was still sitting in car when officers arrived

GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Greenfield Police say a bank robbery suspect never made it out of the parking lot after robbing the Bank of America on Federal Street Friday morning.

According to the Greenfield Police Department’s official Facebook page, officers were alerted that the suspect was sitting in his black Mustang in the parking lot after robbing the bank around 9:30 AM. The suspect was described as an older man wearing a flannel shirt.

When police got there shortly thereafter, they questioned the man sitting in the black Mustang, wearing a flannel shirt. Gary Park, 63, of 8 Lilac Ct. in Greenfield was arrested and charged with unarmed robbery.
